My abstract work makes visible the inner states of the mind—conscious and unconscious—that speak to a wide array of emotions. My goal is to take these inner states and render them as art forms.

This work is driven by an obsessive need to make something out of the feelings and mental states trapped inside my head—be it positive or negative, spiritual or destructive. I feel the urge to make these marks on paper and surrender to the process until I bring the image to full realization and something feels complete.

My hand flows freely, letting the work reveal itself with intuition as my guide. It does not know where it wants to go; it only goes where feeling guides it. I start with chaos, pure feeling, and stream of consciousness, making marks that describe the energy I'm experiencing and matching those lines with colors and forms.

This is truly the freest form of art making I can achieve. It's also a practice of staying fully engaged, not distracted by other realities or pressures. The process guides me to a state of calm that would otherwise be restless with stress and anxiety.
