Milton the Demon Boy
Milton the Demon Boy began as an idea in a comics class at SVA in New York City and has evolved over the years into a much larger project. I first envisioned it as a comic and then a movie. I taught myself 2D animation to help create a small part of the story, wrote a screenplay, also wrote a full length YA novel (still in progress), a short comic (earlier version with satirical Super Jesus character who is no longer part of the story) and also, a now retired Adobe Flash animated Website complete with the movie and illustrations, *(Flash is no longer used for websites because it had a lot of functionality issues). I have included the videos and art below so you can get an idea of what it looks like. This is purely a creative project that was made for fun and helped introduce me to the multi-layered universe of comics and graphic novels. Hope you enjoy!

Original Comic Idea
*The original comic had a “Super Jesus” character that was created for satirical reasons, however, he didn’t make it into the final story. He befriends Milton and together, the two fight crime and battle demons all over the world.
Illustrations
*I have since added horns to Milton’s head. Some of the illustrations here show him with no horns, which is how I originally drew him.
Drawings for Animation
I took a traditional hand drawn animation class at Pratt Institute in New York, which taught a method that’s similar to how the artists’ at Disney originally made movies.
It was mainly to learn the pacing and storyboarding of an animated movie. I had to learn Flash animation on my own and apply the drawing/storyboard techniques to Flash.
